A very complex specification, requiring an undulating ceiling with the appearance of free floating illuminated fabrics, to be constructed below a suspended curved sealed light box, one stepping on to another via intermediate service channels for the additional ceiling fixtures. Suspension systems had to be specially engineered due to the limited loads available from a tensioned concrete roof above.
Stretch ME Engineered a unique construction for the suspension of each factory finished curved light box and intermediate service channels. Due to the very strict load limitations, a side omitting LED was positioned at the perimeter of the each light box on each spine, and projected across the back of the Stretch Diffuser fabric to minimalise the weight between each section.
Stretch Ceilings specially commissioned a 'made to order' Diffuser to increase the warmth of the fabric and lighting diffusion, which in turn was illuminated with the latest generation OSRAM LED Modules and side omitting Projection Lenses.
